I'm Scott Visscher, an Ontario-based nightscape photographer drawn to the places where the natural world meets the night sky.

My work explores the beauty of dark skies, from the Milky Way stretching above quiet lakes and rugged shorelines to historic structures set against a backdrop of stars. I'm particularly drawn to rural Ontario, where getting away from city lights reveals a different perspective on familiar landscapes.

Beyond traditional nightscape photography, I explore the creative possibilities of incorporating people into these environments through dramatic silhouettes and artistic portraits beneath the stars.

My work has been exhibited at juried art shows, galleries, cafés and other local venues. I also lead photography workshops and guided experiences, sharing my knowledge of night photography and helping others discover the beauty of the night sky.

Whether I'm creating an image, exploring somewhere new or helping someone capture their first photograph of the Milky Way, what continues to draw me to night photography is the sense of wonder that comes from experiencing the world after dark.
